(LEBANON, Ill., Aug. 27)—The McKendree College women’s soccer team started their 2006 season on the right track defeating Ohio Dominican University 1-0 at home. McKendree, ranked No. 13, controlled the game from the start over No. 34 ranked Ohio Dominican.
McKendree out-shot the Panthers 25-4 in the game, however the Bearcats were unable to get many scoring chances from their shots. The Bearcats finally got on the board mid-way through the second-half when
Ray Ray Cole (Raytown, Mo./St. Teresa's) (Raytown, Mo./St. Teresa’s) scored the first goal of the season.

Katelyn Cleveland (Collinsville, Ill./Collinsville) (Collinsville, Ill./Collinsville) was tipped off of the cross-bar. McKendree continued to pressure the Panthers throughout the game, holding a 6-0 edge in corner kicks but failing to convert.

Natalie Jameson (Troy, Ill./Triad) (Troy, Ill./Triad) made one save in recording the shutout and win. With the win she now moves into a tie with former Bearcat Shannon Roth for most career wins with 42.
McKendree is 1-0 on the season and will be in action again Saturday, September 2 when they face William Jewell College. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
